Privacy Policy
How Principles collects, uses, and protects your information.
This Privacy Policy describes how Principles (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Principles mobile application and related services.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Birth and profile details: name, birth date, birth time, birthplace, gender, and other profile fields you provide to generate your chart.
- Profile photo: if you choose a photo from your device library, it is stored locally on your device unless you later enable cloud sync features.
- App activity: chart views, purchases, notification preferences, and support requests needed to operate the service.
- Device and purchase data: device identifiers and subscription status from Apple App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat when you subscribe or buy reports.
How we use information
- Create and display your chart, readings, and purchased content
- Authenticate your account and keep your session secure
- Process subscriptions and one-time report purchases
- Send account, security, and notification emails you opt into
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests
Service providers
We use trusted third parties to operate Principles, including:
- Supabase — authentication and account data storage
- Our API hosting provider — chart computation and profile sync
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management
- Apple / Google — app distribution and payment processing
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and are contractually required to protect it.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your choices
- Update profile details in Settings → Update Profile
- Manage notification preferences in Settings → Notifications
- Request account deletion in Settings → Delete Account
- Contact support@principles.app for privacy requests
Children
Principles is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
